Each of us holds an obligation to preserve and protect our environment. Through our everyday choices and actions, we collectively have a huge impact on our world. It's really a simple concept, but one with far reaching effects.
We are excited to have this privilege to work as partners with community based groups and organizations and share our wealth of resources.
Our primary mission is to engage community stakeholders in taking greater responsibility for improving our communities and the environment. Now more than ever we are in need of leadership on a host of urgent environmental challenges facing our communities, our cities, our rivers, streams, lakes and oceans.
Keep Miami Beautiful follows a practical approach that unites citizens, businesses and government to find solutions that advance our core issues of preventing litter, reducing waste, and beautifying blighted neighborhoods.
The diversity of Miami-Dade's landscape consists of many different community environments, each with their own interconnected needs and challenges. We combine education with hands-on stewardship to address the needs of each neighborhood with an intensely area specific and effective level.
It is our goal to have a positive impact through education, volunteerism, public-private partnerships and individual responsibility. These kinds of actions will significantly advance our efforts and facilitate improving the quality of life and living space for our residents while investing in our youth, who are our future leaders.
