Summer Youth Environmental Employment Program
The Summer Youth Environmental Employment Program (S.Y.E.E.P.) offers work experience, teaches valuable employment skills, and provides you with a summer income. S.Y.E.E.P. educational activities will enhance your summer experience, allowing you to develop career awareness, understanding of personal money management, and work-related social skills.
S.Y.E.E.P. is open to residents within the Southeast Overtown / Park West and Omni CRA boundaries and those living within the City of Miami city limits. You must be between ages 14 through 24, as of June 12, 2010.
Each applicant may submit only one application. To apply for S.Y.E.E.P.:
• Visit the Overtown N.E.T. Office, located at 1490 NW 3rd Avenue. Complete and return the application to the Overtown N.E.T. Office and schedule your interview.
OR
• Applications can also be picked up at the YWCA of Greater Miami-Dade, Inc. located at 351 NW 5th Street Miami, FL 33128.
Be sure to bring your completed application with you to your intake interview, which will be scheduled between June 7 – 10, 2010, from 9 AM – 5 PM. Interviews will be held at Gibson Park 401 NW 12th Avenue Miami, FL 33128. Please come dressed in the appropriate business attire, your appearance makes a tremendous statement. Please Do NOT mail or fax your application to the Overtown N.E.T. Office, Keep Miami Beautiful, Inc. or Gibson Park
The DEADLINE for submitting your application is Monday, June 7, 2010. SUBMISSION OF AN APPLICATION DOES NOT GUARANTEE ELIGIBILITY OR ENROLLMENT INTO THE PROGRAM.
If you are selected for S.Y.E.E.P. you will be notified by email and/or telephone.

1. Social Security Card
2. Birth Certificate
3. Florida Driver License or Florida Identification Card
If you are a Miami Dade County Public Schools Student you may provide
1. Your school’s picture identification
2. Proof of Residence, i.e., light bill, water bill, phone bill
3. Your most recent school report card
